Work.
I'm not dead. Not at all. Thank you for asking, DT.
I'm mighty overwhelmed this month. I'm working hard and playing harder. Here are the highlights:
All three jobs are going great.
Tom came back from rehab on Friday and has been sober for 2 weeks now. The first thing I noticed about him was how beautiful and clear his eyes were. We are going to AA meetings as much as possible, and he's taking responsibility for his life. I'm getting paid. All is well.
I'm just teaching my German student, Heike, three times a week and the two extra mornings off will be a nice break. Heike asked my boss if I could continue to meet with her in a different location after I've moved. Heike really doesn't want another teacher and is willing to change the hours we meet and meeting place so that I can teach her. That is awesome.
My friend Narges went back to Iran after our last class on Thursday. She was very depressed here and she wanted to see her patients at her clinic in Iran. Her husband is staying here in Boston to care for the kids. I will miss Narges, but she'll be back in September. I have an open invitation to Iran that I will most certainly use one day.
Carmit will start private English classes in two weeks. I'm still figuring out the logistics of this, but I am looking forward to continuing with her and making the extra cash.
Approach is great. I love working there and I'm glad for this transition period. I start full-time in May.
