Graduate school begins!

Tonight I had my first class at Lesley University. There are about 12 of us in the class. I hit it off immediately with one of my group members. Her name is Maria and she is from Argentina, but has spent most of her life in the U.S. She's the school photographer. Anyway, it was nice to meet someone new. Also, all my classmates are women, and mostly older, so it's a great opportunity to meet a different crowd. We are all so diverse. We took a poll and our class speaks 8 languages and identifies with around 17 cultures! Pretty cool group. Also, I was the only person in the group to think to ask our professor the same polling questions we were asking other students. She did ask us to find out the information from everyone in the room, but no one included her except me. I felt good when she pointed that out.

AND... I have moved on---I mean I found another man!! Erdem and I broke up over a month ago. I think I did finally stop counting the days... I did loose about 10 pounds since the break up, which is weird for me because I have never lost my appetite over a man, but this relationship hit me pretty hard. I didn't even realize how serious I was until after it was over. I still get butterflies in my tummy and feel sick when I see him at school, but it's not as bad as it used to be. We finally gave everything everything back to each other just yesterday, which I had mixed feelings about. Of course, I know it's important, but I was enjoying holding on just a little bit.

The newest "friend" is nothing serious yet. Actually, it's a someone I have known for a long time and have always liked, but never had any idea he was also interested in me. We are taking things slow... but spend every night together. It's wonderful to have someone to talk to every day and be excited about. He is not like what I expected either. Anyway, we're enjoying the moment together. I am recovering.
