Headed to Utah

I'm off to Utah after work today. I'll be flying out at 6:20 this evening and arriving in Utah at midnight. I'm pretty excited because I'm flying JetBlue for the first time.

I'll be there for my brother's trial on Wednesday morning, then my mom and I are driving to Detroit in my Honda Accord. It's 24 hours to Detroit, which we should make in two days, arriving Saturday. Then I need to get back in the car and hustle my bustle the last 12 hours to Boston alone. I've got a softball game (another doubleheader) on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., which I doubt I'll make it back in time for, but I promised I'd try.

I can't wait to visit my baby brother and spend time with my mom. We just love being together and I've needed a good friend. $100 says we don't run out of things to talk about! =)

Safe travels.

Musa is a friend. Erdem was a boyfriend.

Since there have been a couple inquiries: Musa is just a friend and tennis partner. Sorry nothing more exciting than that.

My love life is too complicated right now. Three months ago I was dating Erdem, but we broke up because I wanted to date Talgat, and then we got back together after I broke up with Talgat and then he broke up with me last week and I wanted to get back together, but I don't think I want anymore drama.

Honestly, I was kind of heart-broken last week, but I'm trying not to mope. I think it's best for me to just forget about Erdem and move on, but he called again yesterday just to see how I"m doing and he's hard to forget. He left a message, "Since we haven't talked in a really long time..." which is strange because we just text messaged the day before and broke up two days before that! Does he really need to know how I'm doing already?!?

Okay, I admit, I really miss him.

Yesterday I had a double header softball game and instead of playing catcher as usual I played second base. I got a really fast ground ball in the first game that popped up at the last minute (I HATE it when that happens) and it hit my right bicep. Now I have a HUUUGE purple bruise which hurts when I move my right arm certain ways. Don't even look at my shins---they are still yellowish from last week's bruises... I love war wounds.

I'm thinking about buying a camera. I've gone almost a year without on and it's really time to make the investment.

On Friday I went to Six Flags New England and everyone took so many pictures, I really wanted to be taking them, too! I managed to get one sent to me!

That's left to right: Osman (Turkey), me, Ercio (Brazil), Jennifer (my roommate, Brazil) and Evren (Turkey). We had SUCH a good time!!!

Tennis with Musa

My friend Musa, from Turkey, is a student at my school. We're going to start playing tennis every Wednesday. This was the first week. Musa hasn't played a lot before so I'm usually hitting balls to him. He's got a mean serve though!!!

I was feeling very playful today.

From these pictures it looks like we never play, we just sit around posing... so here is me serving!

But we do take a lot of pictures! =)

New Apartment and Roommate

After tennis I cooked dinner for Musa and my roommate, Jennifer. This is my kitchen. I know these pictures don't really show it off, but I have a really beautiful apartment.

Here we are finishing up dinner with some tea.

Jennifer is from Brazil.

Musa is a newspaper reporter in Turkey, and he loves taking pictures. So here's ANOTHER picture of me on my couch.

Approach pictures

Some pictures from my work---and my new haircut, which I'm learning to like, but don't love...

Finding material for class. Nothing's better than Azar!!

One of my favorite students, Musa.

Quick copy and off to class!
